Anil got his preliminary training from Pt Goverdhan Tripathi of Agra and joined Gandharva Mahavidyalaya for a short period. Today Anil, a resident of Eastend Apptt. Mayur Vihar sings with authority most difficult and rarest old songs of Manna Dey such as Ketki Gulab Juhi Champak ban phooley which Manna Dey sang with Pt. Bhim Sen Joshi, Ja Tose Nahi Bolu Kanhiya, an old song from film Parivar which has various notes and Tarana played on instrument Mridanga. Laga Chunri Mein Daag’s Tarana is well on the tips of Anil which he performs with command. His baritone voice, dedication and style of singing make audience enthrall for three hours is really a commendable job in today’s time
