Jaya Thiagarajan

Jaya Thiagarajan is a Carnatic musician devoted to service through music. Her voice reaches out to the listener's soul with a charming melody, transcending space and time to bring forth a soothing comfort. Her music has a healing aura of its own with which she rekindles hope and banishes turmoil.

She has done her B.A. in music from the prestigious Madras University. Introduced into the world of Carnatic music by her grandfather, she has undergone rigorous training under the wings of eminent classical masters including D.K Jayaraman, S. Rajam and Nedunuri Krishnamurthi. Having done a number of music albums, she has also recently performed, along with her daughter at the TEDxSaltCityUtah 2016.

She is a certified teacher of the Art Of Living Foundation, teaching courses in meditation and breathing, including the famous - Sudarshana Kriyaâ. She takes her music as a paraphernalia to instil courage and hope at places like prisons and rehabilitation homes, cleansing millions of minds with a light of love that emanates from her voice.
